ABOUT US
MISSION & HISTORY
Established in 2017 and officially transitioned to nonprofit status in 2024, No Barriers 2 Success (NB2S) is dedicated to empowering Detroit’s at‑risk, low‑income youth ages 16–22. Many of the young people we serve face significant challenges, including economic hardship, educational barriers, limited job opportunities, and re‑entry after incarceration. NB2S provides the resources, guidance, and supportive environment needed to help youth strengthen basic skills, build confidence, and pursue meaningful career and education pathways. Through work readiness training, career opportunities, and education support, we have connected more than 1,750 youth to employment, including GDYT Summer positions and private‑sector jobs. As a youth‑led organization, we also address food insecurity by providing meals at every session and offer supportive services for entire families. NB2S is committed to helping young people develop strong character, a passion for education, and a dedication to community service—creating a clear pathway to long‑term success for Detroit’s next generation.
